Welcome to Baklava Nights, organizing a DJ party featuring the Best of Turkish Disco Pop on October 10, 2025, at KUPE, Sofia. This document outlines our Terms of Service for event attendance and our Privacy Policy, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the EU Consumer Rights Directive, and Bulgarian consumer protection laws.

2. Event Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a ticket and attending the Baklava Nights DJ party, you agree to the following terms, which comply with EU and Bulgarian consumer protection laws:
2.1 Ticket Sales and Consumer Rights
- Online Purchase: Tickets are sold exclusively online via Pretix.eu, a GDPR-compliant platform. All prices include applicable taxes and fees, clearly displayed before purchase.
- No Right of Withdrawal: Under Article 16(l) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive and Bulgarian law, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to event tickets purchased online for a specific date (October 10, 2025). By purchasing, you acknowledge that tickets are non-cancellable and non-refunded unless stated otherwise.
- Fraud and Resale: We reserve the right to limit ticket purchases or cancel orders suspected of fraud, scalping, or unauthorized resale. Cancelled orders will be refunded within 30 days to the original payment method.
2.2 Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Organizer Cancellation: If the event is cancelled by Baklava Nights (e.g., due to unforeseen circumstances), ticket holders will receive a full refund, including any service fees, within 30 days to the original payment method.
- Postponement or Significant Changes: If the event is postponed or undergoes significant changes (e.g., venue or date change), ticket holders will be offered the option to attend the rescheduled event or receive a full refund. Refunds must be requested within 14 days of notification via [email protected].
- No Buyer-Initiated Refunds: Tickets are non-refunded for buyer-initiated cancellations (e.g., change of plans, inability to attend), except where required by law or at our discretion.
- Discretionary Refunds: Refund requests for exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies) may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of the event with supporting documentation.
2.3 Ticketing Platform and Payment
- Platform: Tickets are processed securely via Pretix.eu. Payments are handled by Stripe, ensuring encrypted transactions.
- Transparency: Total ticket costs, including fees, are displayed before purchase. No hidden charges apply.
2.4 Entry Requirements
- Verification: Entry requires a valid digital or printed ticket and a government-issued photo ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license). Tickets are non-transferable without prior approval.
- Timing: Doors open at 23:00 unless otherwise communicated via email or our website.
- Refusal: Entry may be refused or revoked for non-compliance with security policies, intoxication, or disruptive behavior, without refund unless required by law.
2.5 Table Reservations
- Process: Tickets do not include table reservations. Instructions for reserving tables will be emailed post-purchase. Reservations are subject to availability and additional fees.
2.6 Wristbands and Re-entry
- Wristbands: Wristbands must be worn at all times. Lost or damaged wristbands may prevent re-entry.
2.7 Prohibited Items
- Items: Prohibited items include outside drinks, glass containers, weapons, sharp objects, sprays, fireworks, laser pointers, or anything deemed hazardous by security.
- Searches: Bag checks and security searches will be conducted at entry to ensure safety.
2.8 Event Changes
- Modifications: Lineup, schedule, or venue may change due to unforeseen circumstances. Minor changes (e.g., artist substitution) do not entitle ticket holders to refunds. Significant changes (e.g., date or venue) trigger refund options as per Section 2.2.
- Notification: Updates will be communicated via email to ticket holders and posted on our website.
2.9 Photography and Video
- Consent: By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded for promotional purposes.
- Opt-Out: To opt out, email [email protected] before the event or request an opt-out wristband upon arrival.
2.10 Liability
- Risk: Attendance is at your own risk. Baklava Nights is not liable for personal injuries, lost or stolen items, or damages unless caused by our proven gross negligence.
3. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with GDPR and Bulgarian data protection laws.
3.1 Data We Collect
- Identity and Contact Data: Name, email address, billing address (if provided).
- Payment Data: Payment information (e.g., credit card details, processed securely via Stripe).
- Order Data: Ticket purchase details, including event selection and order ID.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information (collected by Cloudflare for security/performance and Google Analytics for analytics, with consent).
3.2 Purpose and Legal Basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Ticket Processing: To fulfill your ticket purchase and provide event-related services (Legal basis: Contract performance).
- Event Updates: To send you updates about the event, such as changes to the program or venue (Legal basis: Legitimate interest).
- Analytics: To analyze website usage via Google Analytics, only with your explicit consent (Legal basis: Consent).
- Security and Performance: To ensure website functionality and security via Cloudflare (Legal basis: Legitimate interest).
- Legal Compliance: To comply with tax, accounting, or legal obligations (Legal basis: Legal obligation).
3.3 Data Sharing
We share your data only with GDPR-compliant third parties:
Data transfers outside the EU/EEA (e.g., to Stripe, Google, or Cloudflare in the US) are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
3.4 Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary:
- Ticket and Payment Data: Up to 12 months post-event for accounting and customer service, or longer if required by law.
- Analytics Data: Up to 14 months (Google Analytics) if you consent to cookies.
- Consent Records: Up to 12 months in cookies and Google Sheets.
- Technical Data (Cloudflare): Up to 30 days for security purposes.
3.5 Your Data Protection Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your data.
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion, subject to legal obligations.
- Restriction: Limit processing.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Data Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw Consent: Revoke consent for analytics cookies via the cookie banner or email.

3.6 Data Security

4. Cookies & Website Analytics
Our website uses cookies to enhance functionality and analytics:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: For ticketing (Pretix), payments (Stripe), and security (Cloudflare’s __cf_bm, retained up to 30 days). These do not require consent.
- Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid, _gat, retained up to 14 months) are used only with your consent via the cookie banner.
- Consent Records: Your consent choice is stored in the `cookieconsent_status` cookie and a Google Sheet (pseudonymous data: timestamp, status, user ID, URL) for up to 12 months.
